Blogging

I am going to attempt to do this....daily maybe but at least weekly! I started this blog as a grad class project in 2008 and then I stopped but now I feel like I need to do something.

This past week has been a week of mixed emotions. Wednesday was four weeks since I had to say goodbye to Jesse and then Friday was the true one month of his death. I just never knew that I loved my cheerleaders this much. I knew I was close to them and loved them but this is a pain that I hope no other student, coach, or teacher has to go through.

Also, it does not make life any better when your husband is sick. That is just a struggle in and of itself when a man is sick.

Next, I have to hard struggle to decide on what house I want...I have two to chose from one that is huge and then one that is economical. I like both but I just feel that Scott and I deserve the BIG one because we have done for everyone for the last 14 years and it is time for us to have what we want and deserve.

These next two weeks are going to pose another mental and emotional challenge because graduation is coming up and I have to say goodbye to some great seniors. It seems that high school just goes by so fast and we all wish for it to be over, but when the end comes it is so emotional for all involved.

What a Week!!!

This past week has been a week. Senior night was Friday and I sure hate to see my senior leave. I hope that we can send her out with a National Championship. Also, had a wonderful Sweet 16 Birthday party for a wonderful young lady that has had my heart since the day I laid eyes on her. It was so great to see her for the first time in years. Loved her new mustang that she got and that she deserves. I know that she will always hold dear the time that we were together and that I will always be there for her.

Baseball has started.....the game of summer. I guess the reason I love baseball so much is because I know that it is getting warmer. I am starting to get spring fever. I am ready to see green grass and full trees. I would really love to see some rain...32 more days till the lake reopens for the season. Of course I could go anytime but it is just not any fun when no one is there. Everyone will return in 32 more days. Well until next time remember the following...

Mixed Emotions!!!

Our squads have worked so hard this season to improve and grow. I am so proud of the JV and Varsity squads. For those of you that do not know, we had our conference competition today. For the past 5 years, we have taken last place to new extremes. This year as the 1st year head coach I wanted to have a routine that we could be proud of and move up in the conference. Well we did both. We had the cleanest routine on the floor, but I don't understand the 5th place finish. Then JV goes out competes following one of the powerhouse squad's in our conference and shines. The foundation has now been laid because they finished a good 20 points ahead of the 2nd place team. Then I put an amazing task on a freshman and she goes out and beats 5 seniors and finishes 2nd place in the Cheerleader of the Year competition.

As I have known since taking over this squad, nobody is going to give us anything.....We got to earn every 1st place we get. Girls, know that I love you and that I am always here for you. Keep up the good work.....I am so proud to be your coach (sponsor)!!!! You make my life complete.

Take a few weeks off and let's come back and win that National title we know that we deserve!!!! We are so close now let's just reach out and grab it. I love you all!!!!

Past Week

What a wonderful week? It was supposed to be an easy week with only two days in school you would think that things would go great. Monday started with my husband having an endoscopy that morning and then that night we ended up back in the hospital for two days. When we arrived at the Emergency Room the doctors first thought he had sustained damage to his throat during the endoscopy. Thank God this was quickly proven wrong! Then we come back to why he is having his problems. Finally after after three hours of back and forth, he was finally diagnosed with pneumonia. Then we sit in the emergency room until 4:50 a.m. before we are moved to a private room. We stay at the hospital until Wednesday after lunch. This was a wonderful break from school......

Best thing about this week was we got a see a former basketball player of my husband's get to realize half of his dream. His dream has always been to play for UNC and play in the Dean Dome. He got to realize half because he did get to play at the Dean Dome however he was playing against the UNC JV team. Still great to see him on the court playing ball.

Now for my ECU classes. I had no assess to a computer until Thursday because when I got home I slept. Then I realized all my assignments for my two classes. I have worked hard over two days (Saturday and Sunday) to get them completed.

Well, good thing/bad thing, my cheerleaders competition for Saturday was cancelled but I really wish we would have gone so that we could put our routine in front of judges.

Well that is about all for this week. I sure hope that next week is alot better. At least both of our games this week are at home. Until next week, just remember that:

Picture

This adorable picture is a picture of my dad and my nephew. He is my spoiled rotten baby. I also have two spoiled rotten dogs that believe that they are human.

Today

This is my first time every using a blog, etc. This is all new to me. I use the internet daily but blogging daily or weekly is going to be hard.

Well today has been such a wonderful day. First, I found out that one of our students that has modifications did not receive them on an end of course test and then I found out that my athletic director is not going to support my cheerleading squad going to a national competition that they earned spots for.

Well one thing is for certain and two things are for sure, not matter what happens today, the sun will rise tomorrow and I will celebrate and do the best job at work that I can.
